Helpdesk and Installation Specialist, Lanarkshire £24-30K per annum DOE plus company car

Job Description

Currently Hiring for a help desk and Installation Specialist to provide technical support. This will be a customer facing role so successful candidate must be confident in delivering world class customer service and support at every opportunity.

The position involves solving technical problems and providing installation support. One week field based and alternate week on customer helpdesk on a rota basis alongside another member of the team. Full training given in core software portfolio (Document and Print Management), installation of PC based operating systems and server based operating systems – Mentoring and Microsoft Certified training will be provided with the possibility of working towards recognized qualification (MCSE). Company car provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first level contact, convey efficient and accurate resolutions
  • Escalate unresolved enquiries to next level of support
  • Track, route and redirect issues to correct resources
  • Update customer data and produce activity reports
  • Confidently walk customers through the problem solving process
  • Provide customers with feedback and follow-up post resolution
  • Ensure correct recording, documentation and closure procedures are followed
  • Keep up to date with technical and product knowledge
  • Installation of core software portfolio (Document and Print Management software)

Essential Requirements

  • Helpdesk Experience (Helpdesk software, databases and remote control)
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Strong communication skills, excellent customer service and confident in multi-tasking
  • Advance troubleshooting
  • Understanding LAN and WAN environments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 & 2012 operating system, MS Active Directory and MS Domain Administration, Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2010 & 2013
  • Experience in diagnosing problems with hardware/software
  • Manage and troubleshoot desktops in a network environment (DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP)
  • Competence in MS Office Suite
