Job Purpose:

To provide the highest possible standard of support to the Facilities Management team and conduct: general maintenance work: office moves which includes setting up of meeting rooms: regular checks of health and safety standards around the building, ensuring use and maintaining the site CAFM system; scheduling of planned maintenance works throughout the building and it’s grounds.

To provide general facilities and maintenance support to the Facilities Manager in the Provision of an efficient and effective Facilities Management services function, as defined within the SLA(s) and the Site Services Roles and Responsibilities document.

Provision of good quality documentation and process to deliver sound policy of key base and space allocation/utilisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Carry out internal office moves and office furniture moves, including cable management and port patching where required

Ø Manage, log and action Tririga job requests in a timely manner

Ø Conduct daily inspections of site facilities and open work areas/offices for general maintenance faults and damage.Ensure faults are logged with Tririga and conduct or manage repair to a satisfactory conclusion and within the specified timeframe.

Ø To offer assistance to engineers and Specialist Partners with technical aspects of the buildings Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme

Ø To undertake general tasks relating to the buildings Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme

Ø To undertake Site Inductions and to offer Escorting to Service Partners attending the building.

Ø Maintain PFM Areas in an organised and tidy state

Ø In the event of an alarm sounding carry out your defined roles of emergency procedures to ensure statutory and company regulations are adhered to with regard to H&S and Fire Safety

Ø Carry out Emergency Lighting checks on a monthly basis.

Ø Manage and maintain Technical Log Books and ensure they remain current and correct for auditing purposes

Ø Carry out daily/weekly flushing of Little Used Outlets per Legionella Control Requirements.

Ø Adhere to Heineken’s Control of Work procedures.

Ø Liaise with external and internal contractors to ensure Reactive and PM works are scheduled and completed within specified time frame.

Ø Provide ad hoc duties to the Caledonian Brewery office space when deemed necessary by the Facilities Manager.

Ø Promote and aim for technical self-delivery where possible throughout the building.

Ø Maintain building documentation to the highest standard.

Occasional duties:

Ø Provide absence cover for the Facilities team when necessary

Ø Assist Facilities team with ad hoc duties as required with any other function that is deemed necessary by the Facilities Manager.


Ø Education to minimum of GCSE standard, with emphasis placed on good spoken and written English and numeracy

Ø Technical qualification desirable (Electrical, Mechanical, Fabric based)

Ø Health and Safety qualification desirable (Legionella Control)

Ø Previous Experience in a similar role advantageous.


Ø Understand and conform to privacy of information standards

Ø Flexible approach to working hours as and when the business priorities dictate

Ø To maintain a knowledge of the Heineken organisation. (Roles and responsibilities)


Ø Capable of lifting, moving heavy furniture and walking reasonable distances

Ø Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work act

Ø Sound working knowledge of general building maintenance requirements

Ø Understanding of Electrical safety

Ø The ability to work unsupervised

Ø Competent using Windows and a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, or similar applications

Ø Good communication skills (oral and written)

Ø Previous experience using CAFM systems.


Ø Understanding of customer care concepts and front of house provision

Ø The ability to work with the minimum of supervision

Ø The ability to cope with busy “pressure “periods

Ø Methodical and disciplined approach to work
